First Sunday in Lent

The story of the fall (Genesis) tells us that sin breaks our fellowship with God. The epistle reading (Romans) tells us that the cure for this disease is Jesus. And the gospel story (Matthew) offers an example and a warning about responding to the temptation to sin.
