At Artisan we believe that children are spiritual beings. Their experience of God begins naturally and adults are guides and mentors, giving children the language and traditions of the faith to enable them to pursue lifelong faith in Christ. Therefore, we do not use the language of “teachers and students,” nor do we view our work as merely education. As leaders and guides, we help children to grow in their knowledge of God and the Bible, but more importantly we create opportunities for children to experience God through a warm and accepting community and freely explore the stories and traditions of our faith.
Sunday Morning Programming
Each Sunday morning we welcome children into our safe and fun space during Sunday services. Programming for age 12 months through 5th grade is available at both services.
- Please visit the children's check-in desk prior to entering the sanctuary for service to sign children in. The desk is located just down the hall from the lobby- look for the polka dot wall!
- During a portion of our service our children age 12 months through 5th grade are invited to special programming for them in the children's wing. Kids of all ages are also welcome to stay in the sanctuary for the entire service.
- Yellow Room | Ages 1-4
A bright, happy space made for play! There’s no program here, just toys, laughter, and room to explore. Our volunteers are wonderful at comforting and distracting little ones, and they know when a child is ready to stay and when it’s time to text you. Your child is safe and loved, and you can attend the worship service with peace of mind. - Orange Room | PreK-1st Grade
Lots of toys, a slide, and plenty of room to play! Kids gather for a circle time to hear and discuss a developmentally appropriate version of a Bible story or faith topic then respond through hands-on, creative activities. It’s a fun room where little ones learn they are loved by God and build positive relationships with their friends. - Blue & Purple Room | 2nd-5th Grade
Curiosity is welcome here. Kids explore Bible stories and faith topics through discussion, wondering, and big questions, with crafts, games, and other activities It’s a creative, safe place to ask anything, share ideas, and know they belong.
All of our adult volunteers are fully screened and background checked.
