Advent
Dec. 3, 2017 – Dec. 24, 2017
Advent is not only the traditional period of waiting and anticipating the coming of Christ; it is also the beginning of a new year in the Christian calendar. The Lectionary texts will serve as our guide through the darkness toward the light of Christ. We are formed by our waiting.

Annunciation and Obedience
- Pastor Scott Austin
We conclude our observance of Advent with a meditation on Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary’s obedience to God even in bewilderment offers us an unparalleled example of how our obedience leads to God’s glory being shown to the world.
Because of a technical issue with the recording, there is no podcast for this week.
(Note: since this Sunday is Christmas Eve; we will have just one morning service at 11am. Our normal Christmas Eve Liturgy will be held at 4pm.)
- 2 Samuel 7:1-11, 16; Psalm 89:1-4, 19-26; Romans 16:25-27; Luke 1:26-38
