Decorating Time
The Psalms of Artisan
June 2, 2019 – June 30, 2019
“Music is how we decorate time.” - Jean-Michel Basquiat
Artisan embraces the arts as a means of expressing our faith lived-out. Whether we are experiencing complete elation or total despair, music helps us put words, sounds and textures to our most intimate moments. Yet, we assume that creation of music is limited to a select few. In this series, we will explore the art of songwriting and find the songwriter in all of us. We will use the three moments of the Psalms (the Hebrew songbook) as a roadmap and invite along some more experienced songwriting sojourners to join us.
