Full Inclusion at Artisan Church

We believe that all people are born with the essential dignity and intrinsic value that comes from being made in God’s image and are equally capable of receiving the gifts and exhibiting the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge and lament that institutional barriers can exclude some who come to church seeking love, grace, and growth in Christ.

At Artisan Church, we welcome LGBTQ persons to participate at all levels of church life: partaking of the sacraments, serving in ministry, joining in membership, and holding leadership and staff roles. Pastoral care is fully inclusive and available to all, including but not limited to: spiritual counsel, prayer, baptism, weddings, funerals, and visitation during illness.

Are you curious about our Open Doors Group or Artisan Church in general? We’d love to meet you at our special "Getting to Know You" Meet & Greet—a relaxed and welcoming time to connect, ask questions, and meet some other folks who are exploring their faith alongside their LGTBQ identity or allyship. No pressure, no commitment, just an invitation to check out our inclusive community.

A Welcoming Group for LGBTQ+ Individuals,
Families and Allies

Open Doors is a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and parents of LGBTQ+ children to come together in community. Whether you're seeking meaningful conversation, connection, or simply a place where you can be yourself—you're welcome here.

We meet once a month after Sunday service for a time of focused discussion, followed by unstructured time to build relationships and support one another.

This group is rooted in love, inclusivity, and belonging. No matter where you are on your faith journey or who you are, there’s an open door for you here.

We’re excited to announce that Artisan Church will be participating in the Rochester PRIDE Parade and Festival on Saturday, July 19, 2025!

This is a powerful opportunity to show up with love, support, and joy for our LGBTQ+ community—and we’d love for you to join us.

The parade returns to South Avenue and Highland Park and will step off at 11am. We’ll be marching together as a visible sign of our commitment to inclusion, affirmation, and community.
