Our Next Decade: Roots

Reaffirming our foundational values
Nov. 8, 2015 – Nov. 22, 2015

As we look ahead to our second decade as a church, we recognize that we also need to look back: to the foundational values God placed on our hearts when our church was planted. In this series, we examine the value of Roots, seeking to understand what it means, how we have lived it out so far, and how we can live it out in Our Next Decade.

Message line-up:

11/8
A Great Cloud of Witnesses
Pastor Scott Austin
Listen

Being deeply rooted in the historic Christian faith means studying, respecting, and learning from the lives and examples of God’s people who have practiced our faith through the ages.

11/15
The Apostles’ Creed
Pastor Scott Austin
Listen

We say these words every week, but how did we come by this creed? Why do we say these words? (Oh, and what do they even mean?)

11/22
Roots and Branches
Pastor Scott Austin
Listen

Trees have deep roots so they can have strong branches. We don’t look to our past because we are stuck there; we look to the past because it strengthens us for the present—and the future!
