RAIHN Car City

Join the youth of Artisan in participating in RAIHN’s (Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network) biggest fundraiser of they year, Car City Saturday, April 28th - Sunday, April 29th, 5:00pm - 7:30am! Car City 2018 will raise funds for RAIHN and awareness about family homelessness in Rochester. Rochester has the highest rate of extreme poverty and childhood poverty (over 50%!) among benchmarked cities in the United States. Car City gives the community an opportunity to learn about family homelessness in a meaningful, hands-on way by sleeping overnight in their cars. RAIHN helps families in housing crises achieve long-term self-sufficiency, serving 30 families a year by providing shelter, meals, counseling, support and assistance in securing safe, affordable housing utilizing community resources and volunteers.
